The College of Teacher Education, Muvattupuzha was established in the year 1992. The College, which is the first of its kind in Muvattupuzha and neighbouring areas, run by Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies, Kottayam,established by Government of Kerala.It  is situated in the heart of the town Muvattupuzha,  the place where the three rivers Thodupuzha, Kothamangalam and Kaliyar  merge to form  river ‘Muvattupuzha’.  Hence our area has been named “Muvattupuzha.” The college has a vast campus of land with adequate facilities  for curricular and co-curricular  activities. The institution has spacious classrooms, fully equipped science, technology, psychology and computer laboratories, auditoriums, well arranged library, rest rooms, work experience and activity room to meet the requirements of B.Ed. Programme. The college is functioning as a co-educational institution.All the seats are filled on the basis of merit observing the eligibility criteria and also the guidelines for community reservations. The College provides high standard of education to the students conforming strictly to the regulations prescribed by the regulatory bodies and have secured almost 100% result during all the previous years.  We have a  fully committed set of faculty members. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University , Kottayam and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE). Ours is a    disabledfriendly campus.
